At the CERD public meeting reviewing Cyprus's twenty-fifth periodic report (CERD/C/CYP/25) at the Committee's 117th session, on 17 April 2026, the Republic of Cyprus's delegation stated, per OHCHR's official meeting summary, that members of religious groups and ethnic minorities were eligible to apply for positions in the civil service, and that exam papers for the foreign service were also provided in the Turkish language for Turkish Cypriots.
