Cyprus RightsThe Republic of Cyprus claims the whole island, and owes every right that claim implies to every Cypriot. Cyprus Rights documents where that duty goes unmet for Turkish Cypriots — with sources.

Neither KYSATS's published criteria nor Cyprus University of Technology's admission rules name institutions in the Turkish Cypriot Administration

Corroborated

This is the highest status Cyprus Rights may assign on its own authority. It meets the independent-source thresholds set out in Cyprus Rights' editorial doctrine.

Facts

As of 30 August 2026, the homepage of the Cyprus Council for the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications (KY.S.A.T.S.) contains no reference to the Turkish Cypriot Administration or to any institution located in the north, anywhere in its listed recognition-related sections. Separately, Cyprus University of Technology's published special-categories admission rules list no category for institutions run by, or under the administration of, the Turkish Cypriot Administration; the only north-connected route is a carve-out for candidates who attended the Rizokarpaso Gymnasium, a Republic-recognised Greek-language school for the enclaved Greek Cypriot community of the Karpas peninsula.
